Reminder: Tuesday is 2010 Concrete Industry Day at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Concrete Sustainability Hub. At the event, researchers from the Concrete Sustainability Hub (CSH) will reveal their initial research findings and progress. The two inaugural work plans under way at the CSH are:
- The Edge of Concrete: A Life-Cycle Investigation of Concrete and Concrete Structures
- From Liquid To Stone: The Genesis of Concrete
Lead investigators for both projects will present their findings, answer questions and hear industry feedback on the future direction of the Concrete Sustainability Hub. The event is an opportunity for stakeholders in the concrete industry to see first-hand the progress being made at MIT to meet the lead researchers.
The Concrete Sustainability Hub is a research center at MIT that was established by PCA and RMC Research & Education Foundation. Both organizations are committing significant effort and resources with the goal of accelerating emerging breakthroughs in concrete science and engineering and transferring that science into practice.
